Baltimore, MD – The American Indoor Football (AIF) league and Commissioner John Morris are excited to announce that the Cedar Rapids River Kings and the River City Rage will be joining the league for the highly anticipated 2024 season. Under the ownership of Dominic Montero, these teams are poised to bring a new level of excitement and competition to the indoor football landscape.

The Cedar Rapids River Kings will be playing their home games at the Alliant Energy PowerHouse, which is located in the heart of downtown Cedar Rapids, Iowa. This modern and vibrant venue will provide an electric atmosphere for fans to enjoy the thrilling indoor football action.

The River City Rage will be playing their home games at The Mid-America Center, an arena and convention center located in Council Bluffs, Iowa. This state-of-the-art facility provides an excellent venue for the team and will offer fans a fantastic game-day experience.

Dominic Montero, the owner of both franchises, brings a wealth of experience and a deep love for the game to his new role.

Dominic's football journey has been characterized by dedication and a strong commitment to the sport. A graduate of Valley Forge Military College and Peru State, Montero's playing career includes stints with the Salina Liberty and the Bismarck Bucks Montero's leadership skills were evident as he served as General Manager and Offensive Line coach of the Topeka Tropics in the '22 season. Following that, he took on the role of President and assistant coach for the Omaha Beef.

"I am excited to bring the Cedar Rapids River Kings and the River City Rage into the American Indoor Football League," said Dominic Montero. "Football has always been a passion of mine, and I chose Cedar Rapids and Council Bluffs because these cities possess a rich football tradition and a fan base that is hungry for exciting indoor football action.
