American Indoor Football (AIF) Expands Ownership; Amarillo Venom to play in the AIF for the 2024 Indoor Football season

Amarillo, TX - John Morris, Commissioner of the American Indoor Football (AIF), along with Stephanie Tucker, former owner of the Amarillo Venom, jointly announced a significant development in the league's expansion efforts. The Amarillo Venom franchise has been successfully acquired by the AIF and new owner Robert Reyna, marking a new chapter for indoor football in Amarillo. The team is slated to compete in the upcoming 2024 AIF season and once again will call the esteemed Amarillo Civic Center its home.

John Morris, Commissioner of the AIF, stated, "Today marks a pivotal moment for the AIF as we welcome Robert Reyna to our roster of dedicated team owners. We extend our gratitude to Stephanie Tucker for her stewardship of the Amarillo Venom and her contributions. As we move forward, we are excited to see how Robert Reyna's leadership will further enhance the Venom's presence within the AIF."

Bo Fowlkes, General Manager of the Amarillo Civic Center, expressed his anticipation for the return of indoor football: "After a 2-year absence, indoor football is back in Amarillo, and we are extremely excited to see what the new Amarillo Venom team will do in the AIF."

Larry Clark, AIF Director of Operations, added, "I look forward to working with Bo and the entire Civic Center staff. The collaboration between the AIF and the Civic Center promises a fantastic experience for fans and players alike. Additionally, working with Stephanie through this process was my pleasure, as we look forward to being the caretaker of the Venom for the Amarillo community."

New Venom Owner, Robert Reyna stands as a formidable entrepreneur whose journey through the business landscape has been marked by ingenuity, determination, and a profound commitment to the betterment of the community. With a proven record of transforming concepts into thriving ventures, Robert has built a portfolio of extraordinary accomplishments across diverse industries.

"This team has a rich history and a strong fan base, and I am committed to building on that legacy while also bringing fresh energy and new opportunities to Amarillo's sports community. Rick Kranz, recently named General Manager of the Venom, shared his excitement for his role: "I'm excited to get into the community and continue the Venom tradition! The Venom fans, community, and supporters are what made the decision to return to the game so easy! I'm very excited for this opportunity and can't wait to make an impact!" Kranz brings a wealth of experience to the team, having previously owned indoor teams, most recently the Kentucky Drillers of Pikeville, KY.

The Amarillo Civic Center, a distinguished venue known for hosting a variety of events, will become the backdrop for the Amarillo Venom's home games during the 2024 indoor season. With its modern facilities and convenient location, the Civic Center is poised to provide fans with an exceptional indoor football experience.
